Comparative judgement in education research

چکیده

Educational researchers often need to construct precise and reliable measurement scales of complex varied representations such as participants’ written work, videoed lesson segments policy documents. Developing using can be resource-intensive time-consuming, the outcomes are not always reliable. Here we present alternative methods based on comparative judgement (CJ) that have been growing in popularity over recent years. We consider contexts which CJ-based appropriate before describing detail what they how applied a range educational research contexts. also provide an overview evaluating reliability validity resultant scales.
